Show Description

The Disney Channel animated series The Replacements, about the adventures (and mis-adventures) of a pair of young teen siblings (Todd and Riley), is notable for its lengthy list of guest appearances by performers who either were already stars or went on to become big stars. The Replacements was created by famed author and illustrator Dan Santat, whose best known work is the children's book, The Guild of Geniuses.

While living in an orphanage, the siblings stumble across an unusual comic book from which they order a telephone purporting to possess the ability to replace any animal or person the owner chooses. As advertised, the pair soon acquire new parents, and discover that the "magic phone" can also assist them with any other problem that arises, and being typical teenagers, the problems are never-ending.

Nancy Cartwright, better known as the voice of Bart Simpson, provides the voice of Todd, while some of the above-mentioned guest stars include Tom Arnold, Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus, Ed Begley, Jr., Zac Efron, Gilbert Gottfried, NFL QB Carson Palmer and Mindy Sterling.
