George of the Jungle

The children's classic animated cartoon from the late 1960s, George of the Jungle, is the basis for the 1997 Walt Disney Pictures live-action same-titled comedy-adventure film.
George (Brendan Fraser) is a simple, Tarzan-like man who resides deep in the jungle with his many wild animal friends. Quite coincidentally, he rescues heiress Ursula (Leslie Mann) after she is abandoned by her cowardly fiance (Thomas Haden Church) during a lion attack. George inevitably falls in love with her, but the admiration isn't mutual. Shot by a tranquilizer dart during an attempt to rescue Ursula from George's treehouse, Ursula finances a trip for George to the U.S. for medical treatment. Unable to adapt, George returns to the jungle, and after realizing she indeed is in love with the Jungle Man, Ursula also returns and the two are re-united.
George of the Jungle's soundtrack features such artists as Weird Al Yankovic, Johnny Clegg, Michael Becker and The Surfaris.
