  • Movie Description

Adapted from Sheila Burnford's novel and remade from the 1963 film,Walt Disney Pictures' production of Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey is an exciting, thrill-a-minute adventure of three remarkable house pets (Chance, Sassy and Shadow) who join together to escape from a ranch where they've been left while their families have gone on vacation.

Unaccustomed to life in the wild, the trio are forced to adapt to their unfamiliar surroundings in order to survive. An angry mother bear, river rapids, a mountain lion and a porcupine are just a few of the obstacles they encounter as they desperately make their way home.

Don Ameche, Sally Field and Michael J. Fox are splendid as the voices of the three, with Fox providing voice-over narration. Veteran television director Dwayne Dunham calls the shots for The Incredible Journey, while acclaimed composer Bruce Broughton, winner of nearly a dozen Emmy Awards for his work on various TV and film projects, provides an excellent soundtrack.
