The original production of Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, a 1999 Disney Channel Original Movie, began with hopes of becoming a television series. When that plan fell through, it was released as a movie. The film was a success, and led to two sequels, Zenon: The Zequel in 2001 and Zenon: Z3 in 2004.
After crossing the Commander of an orbiting space station, Zenon (Kirsten Storms) is sent back to Earth by her parents as punishment. Zenon discovers that a computer failure threatens the space station, and although she attempts to warn her still space-bound parents, the Commander convinces them it's just the girl's imagination.
Enlisting the assistance of her friends, Zenon manages to make her way back to the space station where once again, she and the Commander butt heads. Finally, using a computer virus program her friend Andrew has designed, Zenon saves the space station from tragedy.
Co-starring alongside Ms. Storms are Raven-Symon
