Movie Description

The lengthiest (142 minutes) installment of the series, "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" is second in chronology and fifth in release order of the enduring science-fiction saga. George Lucas directed, as well as co-writing the screenplay with Jonathan Hales. Rick McCallum produced, with a familiar veteran cast including Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman and Samuel L. Jackson.

With the galaxy moving inexorably towards civil war, a renegade Jedi named Count Dooku (portrayed by screen legend Christopher Lee) has managed to persuade the vast majority of the known planetary systems to threaten secession from the governing Galactic Republic. Due to political upheaval throughout the territories, chaos is the order of the day, and a dangerous new threat to any hope for reconciliation emerges; deadly armies of battle droids under the guidance of Darth Sidious, a shadowy Sith Lord. The separatists attempt to answer the threat with their own army of clones, under the direction of the iconic Jedi Master Yoda.
